Introduction
This feature is focused on improving user engagement by reducing the manual steps required to claim earned points. It will involve changes to the existing rewards system to automate the points claim process. This change will be applicable to both our web and mobile applications.

Current Behavior
Currently, users must manually click on a "claim" button in the rewards section to redeem their points.
Proposed Behavior
With the automatic points claim feature, when users visit the rewards section, the system will automatically claim any eligible points they have earned. Users will no longer need to manually initiate the points claiming process.
User Flow
Option 1
Upon loading rewards, check if the user has earned points since their last session. If their are points available them automatically claim them for the user and update their point balance The header state will change to relay to the user that all of their eligible points have been claimed Option 2
Claim points as soon as the user has earned them Requirements

The scope of this ticket is to change the claim behavior. Rather than requiring a user to have to manually claim points that they’ve earned points will be automatically claimed at the same time they’re earned for all campaign types.

Rollout Plan
The rollout plan will include a phased approach:
Phase 1 - test group
A small percentage of users (users that responded to the claim user experience survey) will have the feature enabled initially to monitor performance and gather feedback.
A control group of similar size will be created to monitor results.
Based on user feedback and system stability, gradually increase the percentage of users with the feature enabled.
Phase 2 - general audience
Upon release, users will be shown a modal that explains the updated claim behavior.

After 2-3 claims prompt the user with an in-app survey that asks them how they like the new claiming behavior.
