As someone that’s been playing modern board games for well over a decade and even ran a

successful board game website⁠

for a number of years I wanted to share a more definitive list of all of the 2 player games I’ve enjoyed. This is not supposed to be a list of every single 2 player game out there (

the dice tower is probably a better fit for that⁠

) but a reflection of the games I’ve played. My hope is you’ll find some hidden gems or get the nudge to try something you’ve heard of but not got to the table yet.

There are over 50 games in this list, many with 1 minute long explainer videos and written reviews I’ve created to give you the gist of what it’s about and why it’s interesting. Each has my own simple rating, key facts and where to find it.
