Task Request SOP


Why We Are Doing This

Too many requests are coming in from Slack, WhatsApp, email, and random conversations. Things slip, priorities get blurred, and work gets messy. We need one single place to track tasks and requests.

Rule (Effective Immediately)

All new tasks and work requests must go into the JIRA backlog.
No exceptions.
Even small or "quick" tasks must be logged.
If someone tries to assign work outside JIRA, ask them to put it there:
"Hey, can you please add this in JIRA so we don’t lose track of it?"

Why This Matters

One single source of truth → nothing gets lost.
Clear priorities for everyone.
No more scattered DMs and side messages creating confusion.

Bottom Line

If it’s not in JIRA, it’s not happening.

Optional: Quick How-To (for anyone new)

Go to JIRA project backlog.
Click Create Issue.
Fill out title + description and assign as needed.
