November 15, 2021: Community Workshop #2, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m:
most of meeting was about the safety element, talked about how a vulnerability assessment will be done to determine what the county has to do to plan for climate hazards
asked the public which hazards they worried about the most and most people answered:
flooding
wildfires
extreme heat
subsidence
Talked about all the different climate hazards and asked the public to provide recommendations for what should be in the safety element
September 22, 2021: Community Workshop #1, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m:
went over the basics of RHNA and the housing elements, talked about how the state determines the numbers and how the county needs to plan for the, talked briefly about ADUs
asked the community what their biggest housing concerns were and the top answers included:
affordability
being protected from hazards/during evacuation
people asked the county to provide guidance and financial support to build ADUs
