🔑 Password Manager – R Pass

RPass is Rippling’s team Password and Single Sign On (SSO) Manager. It’s similar to other password managers like 1Password or what you’ll find in Chome. But it ensures that passwords are easily shareable and aren’t lost if someone leaves. With RPass you and the team can securely save passwords, share passwords and log in to websites with a single click. No more memorizing passwords. No more sharing credentials through non-secure post-it notes, spreadsheets or emails.

Please install the for the web. If prompted to set up 2-Factor-Authentication on a website, you can use the Rippling Mobile App to generate the verification code.
After the extension is installed, open it by clicking on the Rippling logo in the upper right of your Chrome window. Log in with your Rippling account to start using RPass. Once logged in, you'll notice two "vaults". The company vault allows securely sharing passwords with other people inGaeaStar Corp. Your personal vault always keeps passwords private, even within your company.

(1) Company Vault. The Default!

Use the company vault by default. Passwords you save here are accessible to Rippling admins and ownership transfers to your manager if you leave the company. For passwords you saved to the vault, you become the password owner by default, so only you and admins can share it. So, passwords are not shared with anyone else unless you actively share them with people. If you leave the company, your manager becomes the password owner to keep things moving. Use the company vault …
for passwords you need to share with a colleague, your team, or everyone
for accounts that GaeaStar would still need if you were to leave the company
If you save a password to the company vault, you can set sharing rules based on a range of parameters (individual people or groups) and leave notes (e.g. which phone number was linked for 2FA).

(2) Personal Vault. All Yours

The personal vault is only accessible to you; not even company admins see what you store here. Saved passwords cannot be shared, but you can export your personal passwords if you were to leave the company. Use the personal vault …
for passwords you want to keep to yourself and won’t need to share
for accounts that belong to you and that you will need to take with you if you leave the company

Sharing Passwords

Only passwords in the company vault can be shared (they aren’t by default). Locate the password you’d like to share in the Chrome Extension. Just edit the item to see who it is currently being shared with, based on what rules, and what they may do with the password.

You can find stored passwords in the Chrome Extension, at the top of your page when you log into Rippling (company vault only) and in the Mobile App. When you browse the web, the extension will automatically fill in passwords. If a password is shared with you and the owner
