Hold Time

The Hold Time gives you, as the owner of the data, control over access to your Vault even after the required keys have been provided.

During the Hold Time, you can deny access if the request is not authorized.

If you take no action, the data will automatically unlock once the Hold Time expires.

The default Hold Time is 1 day, but you can adjust it to suit your needs:

Examples: 3 days, 10 hours, 30 minutes, or even 1 second for immediate access.

For instance, this feature is particularly useful if you're sharing highly private secrets or critical information. You can set the Hold Time to ensure that your family or friends can only access the Vault if you're unable to, such as in the event of an accident or passing away.
