SIM/HS Consensus - First Feedback – Jane Lampkin 7/25/2024
What you have is a great start. I can see you put a lot of thought into this and that you have researched what others are doing (Vallotton, Reiman, Cohen). This is great for gathering an idea of what you want to do. I went through much of the same process over the years.
Gathering information is ok for brainstorming and I see many of the same things I thought about and our analytical minds want details (Ha)! But what they have is for what they are doing. You need to know what HS wants you to do with what you have learned. I see it as a tool for FC and other ministries/businesses. Therefore, you should keep it as simple and easy to do as possible so anyone can use it.
You could give short training by sitting in on 4 mock sessions (using former numbers or letters). This would help them see the process. Like when Curtis and Jenna sat in on the NYAPN meeting. You could include handouts on “How God Speaks” or “Hearing God for Ministry and Business Decisions”. The handouts could cover the objectives, goals, and main components of your tool.
A few things stood out to me:
1. The first thing I heard in my spirit was that it is “rigid”. It doesn’t allow for HS flow and diverse expression. Not everyone hears God the same way. Some hear/see symbolically which needs practical interpretation. Some hear/see literally which needs spiritual interpretation. Others taste, smell, sense, or feel, etc.
a. Example: I am a visual learner so God often (but not always) speaks to me in pictures and I ask Him for the interpretation of what I am seeing. You saw this in my response for Benji.
b. I tried to do the SQ format but I found the questions made me use brain thinking rather than spiritual listening. God doesn’t speak to me in birds, clocks, superheroes, landscapes, etc. I understand why they use that but I found it distracting from hearing HS.
2. I could see by the wording that this is based on teachings. Unless you have taken those courses you don’t know what all that means. If you plan to offer this to the greater Body of Christ, there needs to be a more common language that all can understand. Unless they will be required to take those courses to start an SQ team/group. But I read in there that it is to be free.
3. If you plan to have groups do this, there needs to be flexibility in the meeting format as well. One Example: Some can hear HS with music, others find it distracting.
4. I noticed you don’t have a goal for Proceeds. A possible goal could be to find Biblical ways to raise funds. Example: First Fruits giving is one way…so how do we implement that into FC globally.
5. You have 5 “P” categories. You may want to add another for “Problems”. The goal could be to get Holy Spirit solutions for problems and needs.
Through the years as I tested this with different groups, I kept hearing God say “simplify”. I had to strip down all my ideas and instructions to the basics of:
• Hearing God
• Recording what He reveals
• Discerning His core message from multiple voices
• Timing and location for disseminating or carrying out that message
Question from Jane to Ask Ourselves:
HS asked several questions concerning the FC projects. I didn’t feel I was to answer them but to give them to you for possible HS consensus. I think these questions may spur other questions to consider. I sense that these are questions to answer to create a presentation of what you are building.
1.? ?Why should the Body of Christ use this?
2.? ?How does it benefit the Ecclesia and the Kingdom?
3.? ?What are the Biblical reasons for developing this?
4.? ?What season are we entering and how can this help in that season?
5.? ?How will you find the remnant ecclesia and the remnant businesses?
6.? ?How will you protect the users (from wolves in sheep’s clothing, little foxes, business scams, hackers, unleavened bread, false doctrines, doubtful disputations, etc.)?
