In Hunza they are the Botraj tribe. Although their origins are unknown and their language has been classified as a Language isolate. It is likely that the Burusho people were indigenous to northwestern India and were pushed into their present homeland by the movements of the Indo-Aryans who migrated to the subcontinent in 1800 BC. Natural disasters are increasing in number and have resulted in the death of 37 people and damaged 260 villages destroying the livestocks. Increased rainfall has meant that agricultural land has been damaged and the river hasn’t been able to absorb as much water.
