Background info

In the 1980s, El Salvador suffered one of its most violent phases in history, the Civil War. The most affected groups were indigenous groups, fishermen and peasants from areas far from important cities. Today, the consequences of that civil war continue to be lived under the guard of Nayib Bukele. Several and several leaders commemorating the International Day of Indigenous Peoples asked the Bukele government for more seriousness in addressing its cultural identity and worldview.
