The Moon shines in the darkness of space. A spaceship from the Apollo missions advances towards planet Earth, leaving the Moon behind.

Through the window of the spaceship, a MAN solemnly observes planet Earth reflected on the capsule’s glass. A BLINDING LIGHT that comes from some place on Earth. Man protects his face with his hand.

El Gringo gets to the top of the small hill and looks at the view of the salar from that vantage point. The salar seems to have no end, only an infinite white ocean in every direction.

A set of bike tires spin on the salar’s rigid salt, covered by a dense fog. The hands of a man hold a BLOND KID from his back. The bike gains speed and El Gringo eventually releases the boy, who rides away on his bike disappearing in the fog.

Chiquito advances through the salar. Behind him, a line of smoke, which is becoming more and more dense, rises to the sky.

Lying on the salt flat, looking up, El Gringo sees the clouds passing above him moving at high speed and the daylight has softened as evening approaches.

Chiquito and El Gringo, in the salar, can barely see what’s in front of them due to the mist. Suddenly, the mist begins to disperse and in front of them appears a very small town with just a few houses at the edge of the salar.

At night inside the truck, Maria sees the flickering light of a bonfire in the distance.

It begins to rain and a layer of water starts to accumulate on the salar’s surface. There’s thunder.

Suddenly, the sky illuminates, and a lightning bolt strikes from the sky onto the skeleton of a tree in the middle of the salar.

Suddenly, in the distance amidst the heavy rain, El Gringo sees the silhouette of a blond boy running towards the mountain.

El Gringo is now at the base of the mountain and sees the blond boy disappear behind some bushes. The storm is stronger now and his vision becomes blurred due to the pouring water.

El Gringo discovers that the salar is a giant mirror from water accumulated from the rain. It reflects the clouds.

Maria's truck seen from above driving on the layer of water. The shot pulls away, revealing plant Earth, which gets farther and farther, ends with a ray of light flsahing from the salar, like the one in the first scene.
