We have Google TV — and two remotes: black (Samsung), white (Google)
You can use either of them, but I’d recommend Google
Sometimes the soundbar (black long thing below tv) disconnects, then TV will use it’s built-in sound which is much worse. If you notice that, use black remote for fixing: button with home icon > settings > quick settings > speaker list > choose soundbar from the list. If you want to connect your wireless headphones, it also can be done from that section.
If you turn on TV and it’s blank, just press home button on white remote, it should bring you to Google TV.
