Key Design Decisions

Ambulance Availability: In our current workflow, the dispatcher selects a hospital before requesting an ambulance. To ensure a smooth user experience, we need to understand if ambulance availability is a concern. Are there ever situations where there might not be available ambulances? If there are no ambulances, make requests directly to CBFR by default
Incident Report Export: Currently, the incident report comes from the Dispatch app. Do we need the ability to print or export this report, either for their records or for sharing with other parties?
Enhancing Open Case View Details: We want to ensure the "Open Cases" view details modal provides the most relevant information for staff. What additional details from the Dispatch or Transporter app would be most valuable for them to see at this stage?
Key Metrics Tracking: To enhance our platform's performance and align with stakeholders' goals, we aim to track essential metrics. What are the key performance indicators (KPIs) crucial for monitoring operations efficiency and identifying areas for improvement?
Streamlining Case Closure: Understanding the information staff typically documents when closing a case will help us design the most efficient way to capture this data within the "Close Case" confirmation modal. Can you share what details are typically documented during case closure?
Medical Dispatcher Dashboard: To optimize the dispatcher's workflow, what key information or metrics should be displayed on the "Dispatch and Control" dashboard? This will help them make informed decisions and manage resources effectively.
Unclosed Cases and Dispatcher Visibility: Our current design has the hospital app notifying the dispatcher after a case closure. What happens if the hospital forgets to close a case within 24 hours? Can dispatchers still close cases on their end, or will this create visibility issues?
Hospital Declining Requests and Ambulance Allocation: The current flow prioritizes hospital selection before requesting an ambulance. However, what happens if a hospital declines a request? How will the ambulance originally assigned be redirected, considering it may have already been routed based on the initial hospital selection?
Seamless EDOHIS Patient Enrollment: To streamline future interactions, we'd like to simplify enrollment for assisted patients who aren't currently registered in EDOHIS. What steps can we take in the app to facilitate a smooth enrollment process?
Ambulance Response Team Composition: To best represent our resources, can you clarify the composition of an ambulance response team? Is it typically a single person, two people, or more? Are all team members paramedics? For record-keeping purposes, how will each response team be identified, and whose phone number will be designated as the primary contact?
"112" Emergency Number Integration: Can you explain the current process and flow for emergency calls received through the "112" number? Understanding this will help us ensure a seamless integration with our app.
Low Internet Connectivity Solutions: We anticipate potential situations with low internet coverage for responders. What alternative solutions can we consider, such as a VPN connection or integration with WhatsApp, to ensure communication remains reliable?
Data Acquisition from PHCs: EDOHIS aims to provide a comprehensive view of emergency medical services. How can we leverage centralized data sources from PHCs (Primary Health Centers) to enrich the information available within our app?
Offline Mode Authorization for Responders: To maintain operational control, we want to prevent responders from going offline without authorization. Can you outline the process for responders to request permission to go offline when necessary?
EDOEMS Success Metrics for Edo State Government: To ensure our app aligns with the Edo State Government's vision for EDOEMS, what key performance indicators (KPIs) are most important for them to track? Understanding these metrics will guide us in optimizing our processes to achieve their desired outcomes.
CBFR Handover at COB (Close of Business): Since ambulance services continue beyond closing hours (COB), can you clarify the handoff process between ambulance transporters and CBFRs (Controlled Burning Facility Responders) at COB? What specific details or actions are involved in this transition?
