Step 1 | Add and assign tasks
Add the tasks and any relevant details, such as Priority, Assigned to, Due date, and Days advanced notice (number of days to be reminded before due date). By default, the doc automation is set up to detect and send Slack messages every day at 9am PST, on due dates and reminder date (3 days in advance), but, you can change these defaults in the Automation settings or in the Reminder date or Due date alert column properties.
Step 2 | Set up Slack notifications & automations
Connect the Slack pack:
Click Explore in the top right of this page, select Packs & Import, then select Slack, then Settings. To send notifications from your Slack account as a DM, set this up to use your Private account. Set up a automated Slack messaging:
This doc lets you manually Send all Slack notifications or set Coda up to automatically send the notifications on your behalf you. To do this, click the Settings (gear icon) at the top right of the doc, then click Automations to turn on ‘Run auto-reminders’. When setting up the automation, choose Take actions as {your name} (not the default setting, Take actions as Automation Bot).
Step 3 | Customize personal note (optional)
Add a few task Notes and customize the personal note so your team feels appreciated!
