Develop content

If learning outcomes are like the building ‘foundation’, topics are the ‘structure’ for framing or shaping what the Learning Experience will look like.

As you start building out the content, think of 1-2 relevant topics and 2-3 key points per one-hour session to cover to support each learning outcome. To get started, click ‘Add New Topic’ to add a new topic to the list, then enter relevant key points as bulleted list.

SiNing’s Pro Tips

The goal is not to build all the content from scratch. If we look carefully, there are always lots of great resources already available, both inside and outside our organizations. Reuse & repurpose content as much as you can. Identify existing courses, videos, articles, or slide presentations as a basis for your Topics. Why reinvent the wheel, when you focus on making it better?
Number of topics - Don’t worry about keeping the topic in order. You can rearrange them later. Click ‘Delete Topic’ any time you want to remove it from your list. Create ONE topic per row and double-click in any cell to edit it.
Key points - Just a bulleted list is enough to make it easier to create your talking points and learning assets later. Click double-sided arrow to expand table cell for more space.

Note: If you happen to make any changes to the Learning Outcome on the previous page, you’ll need to double-click in the Learning Outcome column on this page to refresh it to see changes.

Instructions
Find at least one Resource Link per Topic if possible

1. Click ‘Add New Resource’ to create a new Resource List for each Topic. This is a good way to capture any research you’ve done on a Topic and saves you time when you’re ready to develop your content outlines and scripts.

2. Select one of the Topics in the ‘Topic’ field and copy and paste a URL in the ‘Resource Link’ field.

Pro Tips:
* Add a ‘Resource Type’ so you can quickly browse your resources list next time you return to this page to refer to your list.
* Use the ‘Comments’ section to ask for clarification or status updates about a particular Activity. Use the to tag other members on the team for information or share information with them.
