Installation

Installation (Tensioning) AND TONING

Installation, as a concept, comes with multiple parts. These are the concept being installed, Time under Tension, Time under Intention and Model over Time. An objective of the module is to prime all parts of the being into activation (Second Self), and then to move the being from this position of full activation until it becomes used to the learned behavior of integral motion through a dynamic environment. To understand this mechanism, it’s important to come to understand some explicit knowledge about tension, stress, intention and the framework by which the module is approaching those subjects. Before we get into the primary parts of the concept of Installation, let’s look at tension, stress and intention.
Things that are good in principle are always personal in practice. (Don’t turn the principle into a limit. Features are flexible.)

The Theory is Perfect, the Practice is Personal
To adopt it, you must adapt it

Attention - Surface to core
Contention - Surface to Surface
Retention - all surfaces to core
Distension - Core to Surface
Intention - Core to Core
Extension - Core to all Surfaces
Perfect tension - all cores to all surfaces

Tension

First, within the context of the module, tension is experienced as the natural forces which either bind or abrade all material matter and objects. Tension is what pushes the form out of alignment and what holds in it alignment. When it comes to material in motion, tension manifests as resistance for all sides of the encounter, but the resistance is always particular to the side which is feeling its push. The push of resistance, of course, comes from the motion of the other material which is being interacted with, which in turn is feeling it’s own resistance as a consequence of the encounter. All material things are under tension, at all times, as time itself is under tension. Time under Tension. To make this usable, the module has divided “tension” as an aspect into four basic parts:
Grace, or the Perfect Tension, where no particular tension is being felt beyond the immediacy of being (Attention)
Resistance, or tension between a being interacting with an object in it’s immediate environment (Contention)
Cross-resistance, or a tension between a being interacting with multiple objects within it’s environment, each with a separate trajectory (Retention)
Activation, or a holistic tension being felt within a particularly primed space in which a part, or all parts, of a being are aligned with all relevant parts of their moving environment. (Intention)

Stress

Next, let’s explore the concept of stress. Stress itself is tension exerted on a being, or system, which pushes the being out of equilibrium and towards collapse of it’s form or function, in part or in whole. Systemic stress is stress which occurs to every part of the being at the same time. Initially, we divide stress into four basic categories:
local, non-systemic stress a being experiences when performing a simple activity under tension, while not exhibiting an apparent stress in the remaining parts of the being. This will be referred to as a Spark, or Training Wheel.
the systemic stress a being experiences when it uses all of it’s parts in concert to push through resistance and accomplish an intentional goal. This will be referred to as Priming.
the systemic stress a being experiences when there is a cross-current of resistance pushing them out of alignment with their intentional aim. This will be referred to as “ “
deactivation, or the result of systemic stress which is not priming a part of the being into activation. This is both the result of counter-productive stress and a special kind of stress unto itself, in how it amplifies cross-resistance and distorts the system. (There is a special case of positive use, and this is in the deactivation of parts which are already distorted, so they may be reactivated with an integral infrastructure)
The aim is to show that there is a priority to the placement of all activity which generates the conditions which fall into these categories, and that there is a method to the implementation of that placement and priority. If the module is successful, at the end the User will have an understanding of “stress” as an aspect of the concept of Installation, and within that understanding will be explicit knowledge of how to turn all circumstances of “stress” to an advantage.

Intention

Core - to - Core relation
Finally, we have Intention. Intention is what occurs when a being has internalized it’s responses to tension to the point they have developed as infrastructure into the being itself and as such, the immediate effects of that tension are no longer felt as stress. It is when the failure line has been pushed back past the point of the actions a being must necessarily pursue in due course of it’s nature and a being will not reach a point of failure when executing the necessary procedure to be agentially causative in the way it desires.
An intentional being moves through the world reconciling all tension in accordance with it’s will. An intentional act is the use of resistance as a mechanism in the accomplishment of an objective which is framed to interact with the very resistance it uses as a mechanism of it’s design. In order to accomplish this, the being must understand the way the resistance communicates as tension in the world and they do so via an extended duration of Time under Tension with a chosen implement or practice.
You activate into Intention (the circle) via priming. After priming comes activation, and once in an active state, the intentional aspect must be applied directly to an enactment which is in service of the bodies design. As with Tension and Stress, Intention comes as four basic parts:
Architecture, or design
A design is a “de-sinned” framework, or idealized infrastructure. An architecture is for “de-sinning” the being.

Installation

All concepts must undergo an Installation process in order to become properly integrated with a beings embodied cognition. As discussed, to become intentional a being uses tension to generate targeted resistance, causing systemic stress in the process, so that the being transforms it’s modality of interaction to the point that there is no resistance felt and the being can move freely at will, in accordance with it’s own design. This implies that there is always an extended period of time where a being is expending energy directly engaging the concept incorrectly (which may spawn “correct” methods along the way, but for the purposes of installation, “correctness” is vital to understand as an aspect).
There were previously outlined three essential components of the concept of Installation:
Time under Tension can be considered as “systemic stress experienced over a duration of time, while performing an integrated action”.
Time under Intention can be considered as “systemic equilibrium experienced over a duration of time as a result of habituated time under tension”.
Model over Time can be considered as “systemic understanding experienced after a duration of time making intentional choices, which can be applied to new events which occur outside the scope of it’s current architecture”.
As with all other concepts in this module, Installation comes as both a holistic image and a sequential process which builds to the image. Once a concept is installed, there will be an appropriate placement for all parts within a persons life at an ongoing rate. After a person has attained a Time under Intention within a particular domain, this does not entail that practices which engage Time under Tension within that domain are abandoned. Most often, this is a cascading sin which leads to True Sin in that it moves back the Failure Line from a previously established point and thus reduces intentional capacity. A true Master of a domain is constantly learning new opportunities to tension their chosen art into their Self-System.
As the full activation of this portion of the module resides within the performance of the whole module, this portion will be focusing upon merely the details necessary to prime the isolated concept into a minimally active state.

Ins

An objective of the first module is to maintain a Time under Tension with the holistic content of the first module, until the content has attained a state of Model over Time.
Time under Tension can be as simple as waking up every morning and focusing on a context which makes me feel bad, and then chooses to focus upon that context all day. Before too long, that has become part of my Intentional Design and is rooting into my Symbolic Architecture.
Local stress will cascade into systemic stress over time. ex. of thumb and forefinger throughout week.
The more that the will freely chooses to push through sustained resistance, holding it’s form integral while undergoing systemic stress, then the deeper the architecture embeds. The deeper the architecture embeds, then the greater the potential of point of contact when in the world.
Point of Failure- is the point in the duration of systemic stress where the system can no longer sustain and collapses under the pressure. The goal of the module is to push back the point of failure, further from the ground. In all directions.

Failure Point
Failure Line
Grace Point
Point of Contact
Point of Reference
It is inevitable that points of failure will be exposed via sustained time under tension (avoidance of these points is a cascading sin and open for naming as a G.)
Somewhere along the thread of cascading sin there will be a point where the cascade becomes unmanageable. Cut at that point, then retie via a tensioned relationship with the named Deity which lives past the point of the cut, in that particular domain of True Sin.
Past that Grace Point, it is up to the God of that domain, before the Grace Point it is up to the Guardian who is tied to that thread.
After this, you can release the thread and the Deity will communicate with you through it at the appropriate time, should you choose to listen, and from there make a point of contact. (Also, it will speak in it’s relative language.
Not only are you will you be consciously engaging the system, you will also be unconsciously measuring it while engaged in TuT, but you need both of these seats primed and positioned into stances before you can truly sketch the architecture of tensile communication which you will build between them.
