Traveling & How to get there

VERY IMPORTANT! CONSIDER THESE WHILE PLANNING YOUR TRAVEL

📅 We ask you to arrive to Budapest (railway stations/bus stations)

⌚Not later than 5 pm on the 22nd of June and to leave the camp⌚Not later than on the 30th of June 2024, and don’t leave any mess behind yourself. We invite you for one last breakfast and after that you can leave in the morning and start your journey home.

🕔 Option 1: Go directly to Pécs to the after-school, address:

🕔 Option 2: Join us and travel togather from Budapest:

2024.06.22. at 5.30 pm at Keleti train station

If you arrive by plane in Budapest you have to go to Keleti train station (ca. 1 hour with 100E airport bus and M2 metro).

❗ PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO TRAINS FROM BUDAPEST TO PÉCS AFTER 7:45 PM! ❗

🚉 LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN BUDAPEST

In order to plan your trips, check schedules, buy tickets and use Budapest’s public transport easily. You are advised to download the

BudapestGO mobile application⁠

. Google Maps is also a good alternative to check the best routes from one point to another.

How to get to Astoria from Budapest Airport (45 min.):

Buy one “airport shuttle bus single ticket”, it costs 2200 HUF

🎫 at the ticket machine right in front of the exit or

📲 use BudapestGO mobile application.

Take bus 100E just in front of the exit gate. Don’t forget to validate your ticket on the bus. Get off at the stop called “Astoria”.

Take M2 (red) metro from Astoria to Keleti train station (Keleti Pályaudvar). For the metro you can buy a single ticket for 450 HUF, once again from the ticket machine or via the app. Don’t forget to validate it before you get on the metro! 🙂

Once you arrive to the train station you can buy your train ticket at the yellow ticket machines displayed under the station, or online through

MÁV⁠
