1. Eligibility and Registration

1.1 Eligibility
Participation in EMUN is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Participants must be at least 12 years of age at the time of registration.
All participants must have proficiency in English, both written and spoken, as all official proceedings will be conducted in English.
Participation is limited to registered delegates only, and each delegate must represent a Member State or observer in one of the conference’s specialized committees.
1.2 Registration Process
Delegates must complete the online registration form by the deadline to secure a place in the conference.
Delegates will be required to submit their preferred country assignments as part of the registration process. Every effort will be made to accommodate these preferences; however, final assignments are at the discretion of the Secretariat.
A confirmation email will be sent to delegates upon successful registration. The registration process may involve a registration fee, which must be paid within the specified time frame.
1.3 Committee Assignment
Upon registration, delegates will be assigned to one of the following specialized committees:
Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC)
United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
World Health Organization (WHO)
Committee assignments are final upon confirmation and may not be changed unless under exceptional circumstances, which must be communicated to the Secretariat in advance.

2. Conference Code of Conduct

2.1 General Conduct
All participants must adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and respect throughout the conference. Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour, including personal attacks, discriminatory remarks, or harassment, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the event without a refund.
2.2 Respectful Communication
Delegates are expected to engage in debates and discussions diplomatically and respectfully. Personal conflicts or grievances should not be brought into the formal proceedings. Delegates must always aim to advance discussions through well-researched arguments, critical analysis, and constructive dialogue.
2.3 Harassment and Discrimination
Any form of harassment, including verbal abuse, bullying, or discriminatory behaviour based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics, will result in disciplinary action. Participants found guilty of harassment may be removed from the conference and barred from future events.
2.4 Plagiarism and Academic Integrity
Delegates must present original work in all aspects of the conference, including Position Papers, speeches, and resolutions. Usage of AI and plagiarism, or the act of presenting another's work as one's own, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification. All research must be properly cited.

3. Research and Position Papers

4.1 Delegate Research
Delegates are expected to conduct thorough, independent research on their assigned country, its economic policies, and the issues under discussion in their respective committees. Research should be based on credible and reliable sources, including academic journals, government reports, and international organizations.
4.2 Position Papers
Delegates are required to submit a Position Paper for each committee session. The Position Paper must outline the country’s stance on the topics under discussion and propose potential solutions based on economic principles and policies. Details regarding the format, length, and deadlines for the Position Paper will be provided by the Secretariat.
4.3 Resolution Drafting
Throughout the conference, delegates will be tasked with drafting resolutions and working papers to address the issues discussed in their committees. Resolutions must be realistic, economically feasible, and aligned with international law. All draft resolutions should be collaborative and represent the collective position of the committee members.

4. Virtual Conference Participation

5.1 Technology Requirements
EMUN will be conducted online, and delegates are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary technology to participate in the conference. This includes a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, and access to the platform where the conference will be hosted.
5.2 Technical Support
The Secretariat will provide technical support during the conference for any issues related to the virtual platform. However, delegates are encouraged to test their equipment in advance to avoid any disruptions during the conference.
5.3 Attendance and Participation
Delegates are required to attend all scheduled sessions and must notify the Secretariat in advance if they are unable to attend a session due to an unavoidable conflict. Punctuality is essential, and delegates should log in at least 15 minutes before the start of each session to ensure smooth participation.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

6.1 Personal Data
By registering for the conference, delegates consent to the collection and use of their data, such as names, contact details, and participation history, for the purpose of organizing and running the event. This information will be treated in accordance with data protection laws.
6.2 Recording and Photography
The conference may be recorded for documentation and promotional purposes. Delegates who participate in the conference agree that their image, name, and statements made during the event may be used in these recordings unless otherwise specified.

6. Amendments and Updates

7.1 Changes to Terms and Conditions
Economicana reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes, and continued participation in the conference will be considered as acceptance of the updated terms.
7.2 Force Majeure
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters, technical failures, or other force majeure events, Economicana reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the conference.

7. Prohibition on Participation of Close Friends and Relatives of Organizers

7.1 Definition of Close Friends and Relatives
For this provision, "close friends" and "relatives" are defined as individuals with a familial or personal relationship to the event organizers, staff, or any individuals directly involved in the planning, management, or decision-making processes of the Model United Nations (MUN) event. This includes, but is not limited to, parents, siblings, spouses, significant others, children, cousins, and close personal companions.
7.2 Ineligibility for Participation
In the interest of maintaining fairness, impartiality, and the integrity of the event, any individual who is a close friend or relative of any organizer or staff member is strictly prohibited from registering or participating as a delegate.
7.3 Acknowledgment of Condition
By registering for the MUN event, all participants confirm that they do not fall under the category of "close friends" or "relatives" of any event organizer, staff member, or individual involved in the management of the event. Participants acknowledge and agree to adhere to this provision as part of their commitment to upholding the standards of the conference.
7.4 Enforcement and Compliance
The event organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who is found to violate this policy, including any participants who are discovered to have a familial or personal relationship with an organizer or staff member after the registration process. In such cases, registration fees, if applicable, may be refunded at the sole discretion of the organizers.
7.5 Appeal Process
Any participant who believes they have been unjustly disqualified under this provision may appeal the decision in writing to the event organizing committee. All appeals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the committee's decision will be final.
