It's extremely important to define why you want to be part of the business and what you want to achieve within it. Look at your goals in 3 stages; short-term, mid-term, and long-term. Motivation can come from freedom, fame, fortune, family, most likely it is a combination of all four and will change over time. Make sure you share your goals with a mentor to help hold yourself accountable.
Success can be defined by:
🧠 Ensuring what I do in the short term is in line with my long term goals
When asked “What am I here to do today?”, I can have a short term outlook or long term perspective.
Short Term Perspective
I just want to have fun today Long Term Perspective
Developing my character by learning how to handle rejection Learning to be a stronger, more resilient person so I can lead a team one day Learning the marketing and sales systems to run my own business in the future I’m learning to achieve my targets so I will be able to train my team to do so in the future Usually people who have a long term perspective will have long term success.
People with a short term outlook will get frustrated and give up more quickly.
This is commonly known as the Marshmallow effect.
