The Ecuadorian Constitution requires that all children attend school until they achieve a “basic level of education,” which is estimated at nine school years. After basic education for 9 years, parents must pay school fees.
Universities are tuition free for residents and international students can pay anywhere from $2000 to $6000 per year.
