Logic & Structure

The Digital Offer Roadmap tool is simply a way of organising and prioritising cities so that we are considering as many different inputs as possible.

It is made up of INPUTS

INPUTS = CITIES + VALUES

VALUES = A NUMERICAL SCORE ASSOCIATED WITH A CITY

VALUES ARE ASSIGNED BASED ON EITHER CONTINUOUS OR DISCRETE DATA

CONTINOUS = CITIES ARE RANKED BASED ON A CRITERIA AND A SCORE ASSIGNED BASED ON THAT RANKING

DISCRETE= CITIES ARE GIVEN A SCORE BASED ON THE ADDITION OF A FEATURE UNRELATED TO THE OTHER CITIES

Example: CONTINUOUS

The Asia INPUT is based on the most visited destinations in Asia, ranked by number of visitors. Those in the top 15% receive a score of 3. Those in the next 30% receive a score of 2. The final 55% receive a score of 1.

Example: DISCRETE

The Booking.com INPUT is based on conditions, such as whether a city is launched already. In this instance, IF City=Not Launched; Assign a score of +1.

Alternatively for the Easyjet INPUT some Sun & Beach destinations are negatively impacted. In this instance, they are not relevant for Easyjet, and therefore IF City=Marked Sun & Beach; Assign a score of -1.

AN INPUT CAN CONTAIN BOTH CONTINUOUS AND DISCRETE DATA AND CAN THEREFORE HAVE A SCORE MADE UP OF BOTH
