Trial Period Goals & Actions

Agreed upon goals and action for the AtlasCarbon Trial season

Atlas Trial Goals

Keeping pasture in a high growth state for the maximum time possible, while maintaining groundcover, is one of the most critical parts of successfully sequestering carbon in your soil. We do this by rotating stock so as to manage rest periods aligned with the growth of plants, which requires the most change to your day-to-day management practices
For this reason, one objective of the AtlasCarbon Trial is for you, the producer, to experience a season of planned grazing management to help you decide whether it is a good fit for you and your operation before committing to a soil carbon project.
Based on our assessment of your operation, we aim to set realistic goals for your trial season and create an Action Plan to achieve them. The ‘target’ values in below refer to goals for the Blueprint Trial
