PAWS (The Philippine Animal Welfare Society)
The PAWS or also known as The Philippine Animal Welfare Society is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization in the Philippines. It focuses on preventing any cruelty or abuse to animals by protecting them, taking care of them, adopting them, rescuing, and having advocacy inside the Philippines. Additionally, they help animals especially cats and dogs that have mixed-breed e.g. ‘Aspins/Puspins,’ and they also have their own free donations for the animals with the help of the people.
PUP Sintang Pusa
PUP Sintang Pusa is a popular animal welfare/care center inside the PUP Manila or PUP Main. Inside this educational and health organization, their tasks and responsibilities are to also help animals especially cats that are lost and cannot be found or are away from fur families. They are called “Sintang Pusa” because they have special treatments to cats wherein, they put nametags on their, cats freely roams around inside the campus without students bothering to feed them or to grab them–since they are very strict that cats might die on to what students give some to eat.
