i will like to join the MATIC research collaboration
I am writing to express my interest in joining MITACS as a research fellow to collaborate on important projects aimed at combating misinformation. As a doctoral student at Ajayi Crowther University, I am currently undertaking a promising study titled “Impact of Information Disorder on Climate-Smart Agriculture Adoption and Practice: A Study of Farmers in Oyo State, Nigeria.” My research focuses on investigating the sources, impacts, and fact-checking mechanisms related to information disorder among farmers in Nigeria. The findings have strong potential to inform the development of communication strategies tailored to the local context in promoting scientific literacy and tackling misinformation in the agricultural sector. This aligns closely with MITACS’ mission to conduct meaningful research and collaborate with experts to counter misinformation across contexts. My proposed research and expertise make me well-positioned to meaningfully contribute as part of the dynamic, world-class MITACS team. I would be grateful for the opportunity to join your network of dedicated researchers committed to furthering knowledge that can combat evolving threats posed by misinformation across the world. I welcome the chance to further discuss this. Thank you for your kind consideration.
