Definitely recommend going here to get a nice view of the city. Buy tickets before going so its easier to get in. Lots of shopping places in the Sky Tree as well. One of the flagship Pokemon stores is located here!

Its a chain cafe that is everywhere in world, but this location is nice to hangout at because its in the Shinagawa train station, and you can people watch from above.

One of the most fun bars that we have been too. It was such a good vibe with everyone there and good local brews too. Its a very small place but well worth it to meet other travelers. High recommend it and will definitely be going back if we go back to Kyoto.

It is forbidden to take pictures of maikos and geishas unless specifically allowed by them.

Recommend doing this walking tour, its a great way to learn about Kyoto and explore the different areas of Kyoto

High Recommend this gyoza place. Lines tend to get long and it was forming before it even opened, but worth the wait. Recommend going earlier as it opens.

Really nice temple to walk around

This is where they have the 5 story, Hokan-ji temple, thats famous in all of Kyoto pictures. Also one the most unique Starbucks is in this area too. Its an olden style Kyoto house that was turned into a starbucks

Located in western Kyoto, the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is a popular nature spot to visit. The main path is lined with full-grown bamboo stalks filtering the sunlight glistening through them and illuminating the area with a mystical glow.

Bamboo groves exist all over Japan but Arashiyama is amongst the most popular ones. It might get very crowded during the day, so it is advised to visit before the sun rises and visitors start to flood the area.

While the forest is located outside the center, it is easily accessed from Kyoto Station.

Amazing coffee place, when here twice in a day. Bought a shirt and pin from here too.

If fan of Pokemon, recommend checking this place out for some cool trinkets

Highly recommend this Okonomiyaki, they have veggie options too. Def sit at the chefs bar so you can watch them cook. You do have to wait in line since they don’t take reservations but worth the wait.

Definitely recommend doing ramen class. We got to make 3 different types of ramen and if you ask ahead of time they can accommodate for veggie ramen too.

Gets really busy so plan accordingly, but the castle is really worth it. Really cool history to learn about Japan in general.

The famous torii/gate that everyone takes picture of in the lake in “Kyoto” which is actually in Hakone. There is a line that starts to form to take a picture.

Nice lake that you can take a boat ride on, weather dependent., but there is a nice bakery near the lake called Bakery & Table Hakone that is a good place to just relax and chill and people watch by the lake

If you cannot get into Ben Fiddich then they have a sister bar in the same building but a different floor where they have just as good drinks because the bartenders rotate between the two bars. This place is still really nice and ambiance is awesome. Really good drinks.

Went back again for vegan ramen. One of my favorite vegan ramen ever!

Delta Skyclub at Haneda is now amazing!! They have a full ramen bar and overlooking the runways.
