2/2 - 2/8
Combined some strength workout stuff from M/F set. Feeling tired and sore from the comp, but had a good workout. New PR on bench. Did some continuous climbing + pink dot circuit stuff afterwards.
Did some antagonist work and pull ups.
Kilter, Muscle Up Routine, Hamstring + Core. One of my best sessions in awhile :) feeling smooth on Kilter V3’s again, working climbs in gym and pushing myself hard in strength training
A very wet but highly productive outdoor bouldering sesh! Sent warbonnet (v5) and another v5 called bad daze. Pretty proud of both. Also made some progress on orb weaver, getting to the first crimp and going to the second now.
Making progress on Miho in the cold. I’ve almost done all the moves, but need to link and stick the gaston (and landing the jug)
Overall one of my best weeks in awhile. Feeling good on the wall :) As far as outdoor bouldering goals go, I already ticked the 2 v5’s I wanted to do and looking for something v6 and up.
2/9 - 2/15
Third day on after outdoor bouldering. Did some strength training (some new #s!) and some unstructured gym bouldering.
Volume @ Ibex. Pretty good, skin hurts and it was a bit warm. Sent an 11c after one hanging it and figuring out the crux (high heel & match) :) endurance seems to be a bit down but not too bad. 18 pitches.
Light session. Sent a new yellow dot (gray) with Zhuxuan, and then did some rehab work for golfer’s elbow, etc. with James.
Outdoor bouldering - not much progress on things. Better on the V5 left of Bad Daze, pretty much same spot on Orb Weaver. I need to crank harder with my left crimp.
Feeling pretty tired this week after the volume sesh @ ibex. Fingers feeling a bit tweaky. Some progress on things but probably time to deload a bit :)
2/16 - 2/22
Outdoor sport - climbed a few new routes (Newton County Mentality, Something for Sofia)
Did some kilter boarding and normal muscle up / hamstring / core workout. First time (?) trying V4 list since pre pulley (September)! It actually went really well, I sent 3 new ones. Also day flashed a red in the arch I had been working on. Workout was tiring but productive.
Short strength workout (lowered volume on account of increased days on) - deadlift, bench, weighted pull ups, bicep curls, wrist curls. Projecting gym climbs w/ Vicky & Tom, making some progress on the black yellow dot and the pink yellow dot.
Did a very small amount of rope climbing, and then kiltered. My endurance seemed kinda shot, maybe from the two-days on. Projecting “integral” on the big kilter board, basically didn’t try anything else. Very close but having trouble sticking the big move when coming from the start.
Wintery session at Monegaw. Lots of run-off, so things were wet. I tried the moves to Grandfather Sky, was able to do all of them basically. Also tried Pinkerton, was able to do the crux move on the second try on first go, but unable to stick after that. Think my core was tired.
Making lots of kilterboard progress :)

This was going to be power block, but I think we have a lot of strength gains to make still! + we do some power already.
Outdoor bouldering & kilterboarding
Add at least 1-2 sessions of endurance each week (1 min on 1 min off, 20 min cont. back to back climbs)
Focus on maintenance.

A really fun session! Thought I was not going to climb because I wanted to rest everything from the weekend, but felt pretty good. Did strength training, then climbed the new set w/ Vicky. Joined by Rachel, Anne, Abby! What a fun crew. Got all the red dots (some took more goes + encouragement from Vicky). Tried the purple yellow dot in the arch again, and the green one on the backside. Both are doable.
Another session on Hang Ten - made lots of progress & learning lots of beta. Unlocked the reachy move with new heel hook beta (higher), and figured out new beta for catching the first cut. Stuck the finish move for the first time.
Another session on Orb Weaver with a lot of progress! Unlocked new beta for getting up to the crux move, which I can do pretty consistently. Need to figure out how to hold the crux move.
More tries on Hang Ten. Wanted to make more links than I actually did, this really wasn’t that productive beyond proving to myself that I could stick the cut foot move over and over again. Need to be fresh!
Really fun girl crew vibes at the gym. Made tons of progress on Hang Ten & Orb Weaver by unlocking beta for myself. 3rd sesh on Hang Ten was not it for me.
3/16 - 3/22
Feeling pretty sore during the day. Completed two more yellow dots today! Green slab + purple in the arch. Working on climbs w/ Vicky & Rachel. Vicky was working yellow yellow dot. Exercised good self control not trying that one with her. Purple in the arch felt surprisingly smooth, everything felt effortless.
Feeling poopy. Sent Jolly Low in a session, I should’ve gone for the big move beta but didn’t want to lose skin. LH fingers started feeling a ~little~ tweaky.
Sent Hang Ten! My first V7. Went so differently than I thought it was going to go. I thought surely I was going to be able to repeat that slot move with the high heel beta and it just wouldn’t budge. Maybe weak core? Switched to a drop knee, within a few minutes I think I nailed it for the first time and then just sent the rest of the climb right away! Was worried that my RH was starting to tweak but it ended up okay.
Sent Orb Weaver! Did a long warmup, warmup burn took me all the way to my highpoint basically where I tried to figure out body positioning. Next try, I tried to use same beta as before but modified slightly (unknowingly). Toed in really hard + kept open hip. On the send go, my body was so cored up that both feet were pinching together. Exhausted while topping out, my body could barely keep it together. Really proud of this one, it looks really smooth on camera. Also tried the V8 on the Undertow boulder after.
Felt absolutely heinous climbing this day. Warming up on Green Goblin, I felt like I was climbing in my 2021 body. Did a new 5.10, season of the storm. Made a lot of progress and almost did the full crux of corn grinder but fell off the last move.
First two V7’s, back to back days! Almost sent Corn Grinder too 😭

Got a rude awakening about sport climbing again. Tried to go for check your grip right off the bat, wasn’t feeling good. James tried to encourage me to just keep going but I flash pumped myself super bad. Sat around for awhile, gave it another attempt later (got to just above the crux). Cleaned up beta for right after the sit down rest, and cleaned up sloper beta instead of the crimps.
Gang hung out at Midnight Surf, I tried to work a 12a called Flying Serpents. Think I was close but it’s all about the foot positioning! I didn’t learn this one fast enough.
Gang’s first day at the Motherlode. Tried Chainsaw Massacre for the first time, really didn’t like it at first but it grew on me the more attempts I gave it. Was figuring out beta to make me go faster.
No sends! Just exploration.
