The illustrations are inspired by snippets of comfort that evoke nice and cozy feelings and puts one in a good mood. Some of them are inspired by camping but most veer towards more generic subject matter rather than scouting-specific references.

The illustrations are meant to inject a bit of personality into compositions so as not to appear too formal or too serious. The illustrations can provide a bit more youthfulness to the brand without being too kiddie.
They can be used on top of the brand signatures (as shown below) or on top of text to break the monotony of compositions.
They can be treated as spot illustrations (an object that stands on its own, without a background scene), used for simple announcements.
They can also be cropped and zoomed in to shift the mood of a composition.
Misuse
Avoid using colors of the same hue when creating a composition with the illustrations (i.e. using Fresh Salmon against Fine Wine as shown below).
Do not distort the existing illustrations.
Do not make the lines too thin or too thick.
Avoid direct scouting references when creating new illustrations. Avoid using knots, hand gestures, scouting uniforms, formations, patches, etc.
