The borders are inspired by numismatic elements found on vintage currencies. They can be used to add embellishment to a layout.
Colors
The borders are available in colors that match the palette of ARC’s three flagship variants. When using these borders, always set the background color to Archipelago Cream ( See Color Palette section).
Barrel Reserve Gin and Default Border
This color is lifted from the Barrel Reserve Gin’s color palette. This color must be used on layouts that contain images, label, and illustrations pertaining to ARC Botanical Reserve Gin. If all, or no ARC variants are present in a layout, use this border as default.
Botanical Gin
This color is lifted from the Botanical Gin’s color palette. This color must be used on layouts that contain images, label, and illustrations pertaining to ARC Botanical Gin.
Lava Rock Vodka
This color is lifted from the Lava Rock Vodka’s color palette. This color must be used on layouts that contain images, label, and illustrations pertaining to ARC Lava Rock Vodka.
White
Use this border if the layout is set with a dark background (flat color or image).
Construction
Margin
The border’s primary purpose is to set the margin for the layout. It must always follow the edges and the border’s distance from the edge of the layout must be twice the thickness of the border. The border thickness can be adjusted by changing the line weight.
When setting the thickness of the border, make sure to consider its proportion to the entire layout. Within viewing distance, the ridges, dots and line should still be distinguishable from each other. If the border looks like one blurry line, the border is too thin. If you can easily count the number of dots on the border within viewing distance, the border is too thick.

Do not make the borders too thin.

The Border must always follow the edges of the layout.
Do not layer the border.
Do not make islands in a layout using the border.
Always use the assigned border color for the ARC variants.
Do not create new colors for the border.
Do not flip the border’s orientation. The ridges must always face the edge of the layout.
