By the end of this course students will be able to:
Demonstrate the ability to identify different elements of the information industry and how those elements can affect our perceptions of information consumed and distributed,
Demonstrate mastery of concepts related to common intentions and reasoning for individuals, corporate bodies, and governments to spread mis/disinformation,
Identify common information-related biases and how they can change our perspective of information sources,
Assess information sources through a methodical process,
Assess information sources to credibility and appropriateness for answering research questions,
Observe the content of information sources and present reflections on the effectiveness of mis/disinformation and how it can, and has, affected our daily lives.
