This section contains specifications you may wish to use for your installations. These are guidance and not a detailed design for the work. The suggestions cover best practice and you will probably find that the contractors are resistant to some of the suggestions as it is ‘not how they would do it’ or ‘ the materials aren’t available’. This is fairly typical so try and get them to do as much as possible. If they respond positively to the suggestions and new ideas they are probably really good but if they don’t they are not necessarily bad!
