Stakeholders are the people that affected or have an effect on your project. Identifying your stakeholders at the start are important because it can be either your greatest resources or obstacles. It brings you different perspective about the problem you want to solve.
One of the most vital step in starting your project, is knowing your stakeholders. They can either be your greatest supports or hindrance. Stakeholders are people that give or receive impact from your project. However, stakeholders are not limited to those who directly affected by your project. They might also people with certain reasons like academic or even political purpose. Identifying your stakeholders right from the start, will surely give your project the edge.
Benefits of knowing your stakeholders:
· Providing new insight from different point of view
· Identifying problem you might have overlooked
· Increasing the chance of success in your project
Apparently, there are 3 types of stakeholders to help you identify.
Internal Stakeholder : these are the people that are directly affected by your project, either it is positively or negatively

3. Key Stakeholder : these are the people who might belong to both of the group above or belong to none. But these are the people who can have a positive of negative effect on an effort or who are important within or to your project.

Do you consider one of the stakeholder as an obstacle? If so, you may left a check mark at the obstacles column. Do you consider them as a resource? If so, you may left a check mark at the resource column. Do they affect your overall strategy? If so then left a check mark at the strategy column.
