The Kenyan government has always aimed to provide enough qualified healthcare personnel, but as of 2018, there was a shortage of 30.7 medical practitioners per 10,000 people. This has hindered the country's health goals and led to the exploration of alternatives, such as community health workers, to address the issue. "An Army of Community Health Workers” explores the potential impact of equipping community health workers on the country's healthcare system.
