the_11: primary_board

purpose

the primary_board is intended to be a guiding light on our internal operations. as an egalitarian and democratic organization, we intend to take your contributions seriously, being guided and molded by it. you’ve been specifically selected for this task and we look forward to your contributions.

expectation

the only expectation is for board members to attend quarterly meetings. they are encouraged to participate in live sessions and courses, contribute to a dedicated blog, and comment on public activities. participation will make our activities much more fun and alluring.

remuneration: once we begin generating revenue and profit (from the app), we will immediately begin compensation for the board. a % of the profits will go to board members - without overextending or needlessly holding back. the goal is to reach an “average salary” in terms of the board - somewhere between 140k - 200k/year.

33: a_magic_number: the_advisory_board

purpose

the purpose of the advisory_board is to provide a skilled/experienced business/development angle to our operations. the intention is to bring technical guidance to our projects as they go from development to open-source and open-source to commercial.

expectations

advisory_board members are hoped to participate in courses, live sessions, and a dedicated forum. also they are expected to make contributions on our back-end - a Confluence “wiki” that provides oversight to all our operations.

remuneration: the advisory board will receive a set amount every month (yet to be determined).

the_56: creative_economic_engine

purpose
the intention is for the board to be comprised of “creatives:” artists, authors, theologians, etc. - the goal is to maintain a holistic & purposeful vision. this for internal affairs but also for the global citizens joining us on our app. we hope their vision turns knowledge into mental models that trickle down from our neural center to the public.
expectations
creative_economic_engine participants are there to maintain discourse on a dedicated forum, constantly iterating a short essay - their personal “patriotic vision” for our country moving forward, and participating in live sessions and courses.

remuneration: creative_economic_engine members will receive a baseline salary, with additional earning contingent upon participation. this is simply to implement an incentive.

paywall for board

as mentioned in the email, there is a paywall to participate on the board. this is both to put some skin in the game as well as fund our initial operations. the amount is $275/mo. for primary board members (11 members total) and $92/mo. for advisory_board members (33 members total). with your participation, we envision a dependable revenue stream by january. in which case your monthly payment requirements will be nullified and you will be compensated monthly for your participation. i hope you see this as an investment - as you are the one incurring the risk. we hope your interest and participation will be well worth it.

bringing it all together

the_11 provide internal oversight; the_33 provide oversight of projects; and the 56 creative_economic_engine members provide creative direction. this is a broad outline, as I’m sure roles will slightly interact through collaboration. however this is a good paradigm to make a mental model of the board process. all are highly (because we’re depending on it) encouraged to participate in live-streams and on the app.
as a side-note and long-term endeavor: we hope to have every board member write a short 5-paragraph essay (yes, just like high school) on their personal view of the best steps for our country moving forward - form their personal and professional stand-point. this will be accessible on the app through “member profiles,” though more exciting, we hope to publish as a book.
speaking of books, we intend to create a bookstore on our desktop site - this is an incentive for board members, as we intend to feature only their books. if our app catches contagion - and I hope you have faith - then this is an added incentive.
