KonMari Method Checklist

The KonMari method by Marie Kondo helps you eliminate clutter and tidy up your life. This doc helps your family prepare for the process and has a full checklist.

About this doc

You may have heard about Marie Kondo from her popular series on Netflix, The Art of Tidying Up, or from her best-selling book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. The premise is simple - choose joy. By eliminating clutter and excess, you can live a happier and more fulfilled life. This Coda doc is adapted from her KonMari method to help you de-clutter, tidy up, and live a happier life of joy.

In this doc, you prepare for the process by getting your family members to write in their goals, setting dates for starting and ending the process, and set up any last-minute preparation tasks before getting started. You’ll have checklists for:

  • Clothing
  • Books
  • Papers
  • Komono (Miscellany)
  • Sentimental Items

Included in this doc are additional resources such as videos and blog posts from Marie Kondo to inspire your tidying process. You can also find donation centers for all the clutter you will be getting rid of from your home.
