One of the key takeaways in any physical event is the connections you build during the event and thereby create a strong network of like-minded people. As an attendee, you interact with speakers, fellow attendees from the same or different domains, get introduced to sponsors, and many other features. Zuddl lets you enable this functionality in your virtual event by way of the Networking feature.
Setting up Networking
To set up Networking, go to Zone Setup > Networking.
Quick Networking
To enable Quick Networking:
Turn on the Enable Quick Networking toggle.
Enter the Time Limit (from a range of 3 - 10 minutes) a participant can network with another participant.
Upload a Sponsor Logo that is be visible to the attendees during the networking session. The recommended format is a jpg, jpeg, or png image with a maximum size of 4 MB.
Note: You can Reset Match Data to allow attendees to match with previously matched attendees.
Click Save Changes to finish setting up quick networking.
Smart Networking
To enable Smart Networking:
Turn on the Enable Smart Networking toggle.
Turn on the Select Possible Interests toggle and select the interests to be made available to attendees. This allows attendees to add their interests to their profiles which are used for finding a suitable match.
Click Add Custom Interest to add additional interests.
Enter the Name and click Add Custom Interest, to add it to the list.
Turn on the Matchmaking Filters, and select the filters to be made available to the attendees. This filter allows attendees to specify their intent of networking.
Click Add Custom Filter to add additional filters.
Enter the Name and click Add Custom Filter, to add it to the list.
Note: You can also edit or delete custom interests or custom filters added as shown below.
Conditions to allow Networking
- To provide a Networking option for attendees, either one of Quick Networking or Smart Networking option must be turned on.
- To enable Smart Networking, either one of Possible Interests or Matchmaking Filters toggles must be turned on.
Attending the event
Zuddl allows attendees to network in 2 ways:
Quick Networking: matches two attendees through random selection.
Smart Networking: recommends suitable profiles based on the attendee's interests.
The attendee flow for Quick Networking and Smart Networking feature on Zuddl is shown below:
Quick Networking
Attendee reaches the Networking zone from the main menu and sees the Quick Networking card.
Clicks on the Start Networking button.
Smart Networking:
The attendee reaches the Networking zone from the main menu and views the Automatic 1:1 Networking card.
Upon their arrival, Zuddl directly starts searching for the recommended profiles.
