Open SELL Issues

Based on feedback from written btwn 2021-2024, some issues stood out prominently:

Variants
Custom variant and optionality selling to enable customizable product.
Can we show different images per variant and have it work?
Tagging consistency and flexibility
that ties back to core Resonance taxonomy so we can compare performance across sell instantiations
ECOM category confusion
Moments
The collection/moment tool is outdated
Brands rely on their own collection tracking
No way to use these to bulk import or tag
Grouping Bodies Functionality
You should not need to make a MOMENT to order in a group - it’s extremely annoying and confuses the Brands in the interface.
Mass Uploading
No ability to bulk import styles. What if we could upload an entire conversation to shopify that is pre-merchandised?

Launch flow is highly manual
Today, to launch a style/styles the Brand does the following steps:
Create & select content per channel.
Shoot or virtually render, retouch, crop.
auto select 3d renders
Prepare style. Insert title, price, ecom category
Launch style to Shopify
Shopify
Update ecom category to be product-specific
Select Product Type and Product Category for SEO and tax reasons
Faceted search is grouped by Product Type
No one knows what ecom category is
Each product must have a product category in shopify for tax reasons
Tags: New / Existing Collection, Navigation,
Merchandising via app
Assign Metadata in Shopify for
Color
Fabric Details
Group products using apps for:
Shop by Color
Reviews
Bundles if applicable
ONE Napkin
Manually assign all variants for each product based on fabric.
Ecom categories oversaturated, no ability to add/remove option
A million different ecom categories saturating the backend
Launch flow is costly
For example, on Shopify apps alone ONE Napkins spends $56/mo
Shop by Color - $7/mo
Optionality - $10/mo
Bundles - $19/mo
Merchandising - $5/mo
Reviews - $15/mo
This number increases for brands that use custom fit guides, widgets.
Collection management tool is outdated and cannot properly serve a brand’s launch
This tool needs to shift from a simple product focused function to a moment based tool (irrespective of number of products) that preps a collection for launch.

Size filters are not populating correctly in Shopify
Leads to incorrect filtering results
