Greetings, it seems that I am late to the party, I don’t know if you gonna see my reply or if your questions have already been answered, anyhow, here goes
A- Free will: yes we believe that we have free will, however it seems that there is a confusion with your understanding/reading. the fact that God has control over everything doesn’t mean He is forcing you, you have your own will and power but yours will never surpass His, nothing you will do will be against His will or His knowledge. When the Nazis Killed millions of Jews and the Frensh Killed millions of Africans it didn’t happen because God didn’t know about it or could it stop it or didn’t see it coming. Now, why He willed that these events to roll out in that particular way in that particular time in that particular magnitude is only up to Him, and that is where the sixth article of faith comes in, to accept what God determined to happen wither it is good or bad, now everyone in these events is responsible for his role and actions that was within his abilities (good or bad).
Things that happen to you outside of your control is a fate upon you, while your actions could be someone’s else fate.
B- I don’t know why you thought that when God seals someone’s heart it is just because He willed that and not because of the consequence of their actions!! You said that in Christianity when God hardens someone’s heart it is due to their actions, it is the same in the Quran, I don’t know how you missed it, can you give an example.
C- “Confirming that which you have with you”: I don’t know why you understood that it means that the Quran is confirming the “preservation of previous books” ... that is not what it is talking about, this is not a general statement, but very specific, it is talking to the Jews in Al Madina, that is why in that verse it says “and don’t be the FIRST disbelievers”, if it was a general statement He shouldn’t said “The FIRST disbelievers” since the first disbelievers are the Arabs in Mekkah (his people -peace be upon him-).
The confirmation here is not about the preservation of the Book nor the entirety of it, but confirming a SPECIFIC thing that is specific to the Jews of Al Madina, which is the Prophecy of Muhammad -peace be upon him-, the reason 3 Jewish tribes migrated to Arabia and settled in Yathrib (later called Al Madina) is that they were waiting for the last prophet that they knew that his time is about to come and that he will be living in Al Madina, (and they were very vocal about it).
Last thing, the translation is more like “matching to what you have” more than “Confirming to what you have”
D- The Corruption of the Old Books: First, it is not the Muslims who said that these books are corrupted, God Himself says that in the Quran, it is not something we made up.
Second, when we say that the Bible and the Torah were corrupted, that doesn’t mean that every single thing in it is wrong, it doesn’t mean that there is not any single truth in it, it doesn’t mean that there is Zero guidance in it, and that is why God asks the Jews and the Christians to get back to their books because even with its corruption, it is still going to confirm to them that the Quran is from God.
Many Christians that I watch/Leisten/read their converting stories to Islam (especially priest) mention that the Bible itself was one of the factors that lead them to Islam.
E- Al-Imaran 3:49: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I will make for you a bird from clay, breathe into it, and it will become a ˹real˺ bird—by God’s Will......”
you mentioned here how that creating a life is a God attribute, and for some reason missed the part where Jesus -Peace be upon him- said: “it will become a ˹real˺ bird—by God’s Will”, that was not his doing but God’s doing. that was a miracle that God ran through Jesus’s hands in order for people to believe he is a messenger from God
I hope that I have answered your questions in a satisfactory way, if not, please feel free to ask, I am a native Arabic speaker, knowledgeable about the Quran, the Prophets’ teachings and history, the context of versus and the revelation reasons, so you can say that I can answer most if not all of basic questions.
I don’t mind having online calls since I am too slow to type (and lazy) plus you can you post them on your channel if you like
