Ostara – Imagination Lead (2024)

Commissioned consultant role – October to December 2024

I was invited by Ostara Collective, co-founded by Nicole Schwab (World Economic Forum), to serve as Imagination Lead in the founding design phase of the Imaginal Studios — an initiative reimagining global food systems through collective imagination, ecological attunement, and systemic transformation.

Over two months of collaboration with the Ostara team, I helped shape the imaginative and methodological foundation of the Studios — spaces where inner and outer transformation meet, and where participants are invited to reconnect with the living world as both teacher and collaborator.

My contribution included:

Co-designing the overarching framework for the Imaginal Studios, integrating systems thinking with imagination-based and nature-connected practices.

Weaving together multiple disciplines and methods — including systemic constellations, kincentric leadership, role play, mindfulness, design thinking, and guided visualisations — into a coherent reconnect–remember–re-imagine journey.

Co-facilitating the internal “Imaginal Week” in the UK, where the founding team and funders experienced the process first-hand and aligned around the 2025 programme design.

Articulating the architecture for three global studios, each blending immersive, nature-based experience with systems analysis — embodying Ostara’s twin trail approach of personal and systemic transformation.

Contributing to the cultivation of imagination as an evolutionary force, supporting Ostara’s broader vision of shifting from market-based solutions toward relational, life-centred ways of knowing and acting.

This collaboration allowed me to bring my long-standing practice of ceremony-as-method and transformative design into a pioneering context — contributing to the birth of a programme that explores how imagination can become a living infrastructure for change.

The design phase culminated in a successful proposal to the Moore Foundation, securing funding for two of the three planned studios — the Pacific and Global Studios — allowing the vision to take tangible form in the world.
