Definitions

These are the terms that we use in the document.

Inputs

Team-hours: sum of hours spent in a day by the team members of each department (i.e. the Shipping team may work different number of hours than the Receiving team)

Order Date: date that the customer placed an order in the system

Ship Date: date that the product was shipped to the customer

#Orders: number of orders that were shipped in a day

#Items: number of items picked in a day

#Boxes: number of boxes of a particular shipment

#Pieces: number of items received in a particular shipment

Date Arrived: date that a shipment arrived in the warehouse

Date Started: date that the receiving team started working in a particular shipment

Date Complete: date that the receiving team finished working in a particular shipment (inspected, counted and filled the bins)

Outputs

#Orders/hour: number of orders divided by Team-hours

Orders Performance: performance related to orders (please see the "Goals" tab for the actual numbers)

#Items/hour: number of items picked in a day divided by Team-hours

Items Performance: performance related to items picked (please see the "Goals" tab for the actual numbers)

% Shipping Time (< 1 day): percentage of orders shipped in less one day after the purchase of the product (order date) in any given day

% Shipping Time (>=1 & <2 days): percentage of orders shipped between one day and less than 2 days after the purchase of the product (order date)

% Shipping Time (>=2 & <3 days): percentage of orders shipped between 2 days and less than 3 days after the purchase of the product (order date)

% Shipping Time (>=3 & <4 days): percentage of orders shipped between 3 days and less than 4 days after the purchase of the product (order date)

% Shipping Time (>=4 days): percentage of orders shipped after or on 4 days after the purchase of the product (order date)

Boxes Performance: performance related to number of boxes received (please see the "Goals" tab for the actual numbers)

Pieces Performance: performance related to number of items received (please see the "Goals" tab for the actual numbers)

Processing Performance: performance related to items received (please see the "Goals" tab for the actual numbers)
