Think of this step like Day 1 of your building and publishing process. Now don’t build anything unplanned or else it will be garbage and remind users to take out the trash.
Here are some tools to brainstorm, take notes and do whiteboarding:
Canva’s Whiteboard Feature, Miro, Lucid Spark or any other whiteboarding tool , Fireflies or any other brainstorming tool Coda, Notion, Confluence, Evernote or any other notetaking tool Here are some steps to take when planning and brainstorming your idea:
Plan and Brainstorm first: Don’t just blindly start whiteboarding or taking notes, carefully plan and brainstorm it using AI, a notebook (or a virtual one) and your brain. Right now, building Apps is the best interest, so decide what cool app or anything you want to build and plan a document containing:
- The app’s name
- The app’s description (in 100-200 words)
- It’s design
- It’s audience
- Overall Summary and overview
Now start taking notes: You can paste the planned idea from the sources to any note taking app, always remember to underline, highlight or bold important ideas, words and plans. Make sure you store the note safely because this note will decide how you build your app. Start whiteboarding: You can now draw a simple mind map or a messy sketch of all your ideas. Always use sticky notes for highlighting/writing extremely useful and important info. It is best to do this on pen and paper or you can use a tablet with a smart pen, choice is yours. Now you planned you app, make sure the plan is safely and securely stored.
You can also feel free to take a small break (for about 10-15 minutes or so).
