The Video Module allows Content Managers to add, organize, and manage videos within the system. Videos can be uploaded directly from a local device or linked from external sources (e.g., YouTube). The system automatically extracts metadata such as video name, display name, and description, which can be manually edited if needed.


1.1 Accessing the Video Module

Log in with a Content Manager role.
Navigate to Library → Video.

1.2 Adding a New Video

Click on Add Video - Opens the video creation panel.

Choose the Upload Method – There are two methods to upload the video
Upload from Local System
Click Upload Video and select a file from your computer.
Upload from External Source
Paste the video link (e.g., YouTube URL) in the provided field and click Upload.

1.2.1 Metadata Auto-Fetch

When a video is uploaded or linked, the system automatically fetches details such as:
Display Name
Video Name
Description
These fields can be manually edited if required.

1.2.2 Tagging & Classification

Assign Skills and Tags from the available list

1.2.3 Additional Configurations

Thumbnail

Attach a custom image by clicking Thumbnail.
Recommended format: .jpg / .png etc

Transcript

Upload transcripts in .txt format for accessibility and search.

Attachments

Users can attach supporting files to enhance the video resource.
Artifact
Upload supporting documents as artifacts.
Provide Reference Artifact Name and Description
Click Add Reference Artifact to link it to the video.

1.3 Manage Video

Once a video is created, it becomes available in the Library → Videos section.
Locate videos using Video ID or Video Name via the search bar.
Toggle Active / Inactive to control availability.
Click Edit on the desired video.
Modify details or configurations.
Select Update to save changes.
Click View to preview the video and review its metadata, attachments, and configurations.
