3. Learning Content

This section allows you to add learning materials or Git topics to the curriculum.
The Learning Content category includes four types of activities. Under the Lesson category, there are three types of activities, and the Reference category contains one activity type.

Lesson

Lessons are structured modules designed to deliver learning content to users. Under Lesson, you can create the following activity types:
Create a Video: Provide video-based lessons to learners.
Create a Learning Content: Add text-based learning material or documentation.
Live Lecture: Schedule live, interactive sessions with learners for real-time engagement.

Reference

The Reference activity type allows you to add additional links, attachments, or resources that supplement the lesson content.

3.1 Create a Video Activity

Note: This activity type cannot span multiple days. Please choose the same day for start and end.
Navigate to Curriculum : You can create this activity either in the Training Curriculum or Library Curricula.
Click on an empty space on the particular day of the curriculum where you want to schedule the activity.
A pop-up will appear showing various activity types, Select Learning Content.
Under the Learning Content category, choose Lessons, and then select the Video activity.

5. Once selected, it will redirect you to the configuration page where you can enter the details for the activity.
Configuration Fields
Title – Enter the title of the Activity (Max: 255 characters).
Description – Add a short description or purpose of the Recorded Activity (Max: 2500 characters).
Start Week* – Choose the week when the activity should begin.
Start Day* – Select the specific day to start.
End Week* – Choose when the activity should end(End week should match with the start week for this activity)
End Day* – Select the end day.(End day should match with the start day for this activity)
Tags* – Add relevant tags for easy identification.
Skills* – Choose the skills being evaluated.
Trainer Notes – Add any internal notes for the trainer (Max: 2500 characters).
Estimated Duration (hh:mm) – Specify how long the exam should take.
Is Review? – Option to mark the exam as reviewable. (Default: No)
Optional? – Option to make the exam optional. (Default: No)
Note: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be filled before saving the configuration.

6. Save the Activity

After entering all the required details, you can choose one of the following options:
Add Shell – Creates a placeholder for the activity without linking a video yet.
Choose Video & Add – Lets you link and configure a Video to the activity.

7. After selecting the Video, click on “Add Video” button.

Note: Once the activity is added, user can edit or delete it from the Library Curricula.
Click on the activity in the curriculum to see the Edit and Delete icons.
User can click Edit or View, both will take user to the configuration page.


3.2 Create a Learning Content Activity

Note: This activity type cannot span multiple days. Please choose the same day for start and end.
Navigate to Curriculum : You can create this activity either in the Training Curriculum or Library Curricula.

5. Once selected, it will redirect you to the Configuration Page, where you can enter the details for the activity.
Configuration Fields
Title* – Enter the title of the Activity (Max: 255 characters).

You can create a Learning Activity in two ways:
Use content from repositories
Click on Choose from Master to configure content from a repository.
You will be redirected to the GitHub repository page.
Select the unit you want to use.
Under the Modules tab, choose the module you need.
The topics under that module will be displayed, select the topics you want to configure.
Click Save to add the selected topics to your Learning Activity.

2. Add your own content manually
Click on Manage Content to create content page by page.
You can type your content directly or copy-paste it from elsewhere.
When you click the Manage Content button, you are redirected to a page where you can add content page by page. To add multiple pages, click the + icon beside the Pages section, this allows you to create and manage multiple pages of content.

Note: Once the activity is added, you can edit or delete it from the Library Curricula.
Click on the activity in the curriculum to see the view and Delete icons.
You can click View button, to edit the activity.



3.3 Create a Live Lecture Activity

A Live Lecture is a session conducted by a trainer, covering one or more topics to drive learning.
Note: This activity type cannot span multiple days. The start and end date must be the same.
Steps to Create a Live Lecture Activity:
Navigate to Curriculum : You can create this activity either in the Training Curriculum or Library Curricula.
Click on an empty space on the particular day of the curriculum where you want to schedule the activity.
A pop-up will appear showing various activity types, Select Live Lecture.
Under the Learning Content category, choose Lessons, and then select the Live Lecture activity.

5. Enter the required details for the activity and click Add Activity.

Additional Information:

Once the curriculum is added to a batch, the system will automatically fetch the Teams meeting link from the batch settings and update it in the activity.
When a user clicks on this activity, they will be redirected to the Teams meeting.

3.4 Create a Reference Activity

Note: This activity type cannot span multiple days. Please choose the same day for start and end.
Navigate to Curriculum : You can create this activity either in the Training Curriculum or Library Curricula.
Click on an empty space on the particular day of the curriculum where you want to schedule the activity.
A pop-up will appear showing various activity types, Select Learning Content.
Under the Learning Content category, Select Reference Activity.

5. Fill in all the required details for the activity.
6. Scroll down to the Attachments tab, You can either configure a URL or attach documents (Artifacts).
7. Once done, click Add to save the activity.

Note: Once the activity is added, user can edit or delete it from the Library Curricula.
Click on the activity in the curriculum to see the Edit and Delete icons.
User can click Edit or View, both will take user to the configuration page.
