Nova Scotia Based Companies

Nova Scotia based companies can apply for financial travel support through

Invest Nova Scotia's Export Development Program⁠

(stream 1). Teams applying must have an MVP to be eligible and meet basic requirements. Teams are also strongly encouraged to focus their application on how their trip will support their company with sales development and generating leads.

PEI Based Companies

PEI based companies can apply for financial travel support through the

Marketing Assistance⁠

program. This program can support 40% of the pre-tax costs for Island based companies which can include travel to conferences / tradeshows. Details on eligibility and process are in the link. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to have a discussion prior to application.

Newfoundland Based Companies

Newfoundland based companies can apply for financial travel support through the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology office of the Government of Newfoundland. Generally speaking, companies who have one individual travelling can receive $1,500 or $2,000 (total) for two people to attend an event. Approval is dependent upon the purpose of travel, the activities undertaken while in market, and the expected outcomes. Applicants will be asked what stage the company is at (i.e. idea, prototype, growth)? What are they hoping to achieve by going to X? Are they just going to network? Will they actively be seeking investment? How will attending this event help the company grow?
