Developing a digital marketing strategy for Strava Athletic Community
Solution
Vishal was given the task of developing a Strava Community of runners. Strava is a community of athletes and app used by runners to maintain and share their daily runs and track progress.
The process started with analysing how the runners operate and function. How they use the community and what do they mean by community.
The approach that worked for us to get initial members was
Connecting with local influencers, asking them to join the community and share it with others
Using the email list of the brand to divert traffic on community
Existing users of Strava were approached and invited to join community.

After initial few runners joined we started engaging with them with recognition and posting about the runner of week and sharing about the story of runners on Instagram channel
Community on Strava
Impact
Developed a community of ~190 Athletes in a month within launch with only 1 hour per day investment in Sept 2018. Currently at Aug 2020 we have 638 members in community.
