Day 1

When you enter the Taking Control server for the very first time, you will automatically start in the #general-chat channel. An automated bot will announce your entry to the group.

[name]

This announcement alerts other server members that a new friend has joined the group. You can expect other members to click that button to "wave" hello, post gifs, or offer up another message of welcome to the community.

NEXT STEP (GPS MEMBERS ONLY)

If you just joined Discord as a new member of the GPS membership program, once you set up your Discord account and log in to the Taking Control server for the first time, please notify Nikki Kinzer (@NikkiDiscordCoach), Pete Wright (@Pete Wright (he/him)), or Melissa (@Discord Mom). Be sure to provide your name and your Discord screen name so we can update your account to give you access to all the necessary channels you will need during your time in GPS.

Once you are officially logged in, we highly recommend reading through two important channels that can be found under the ADHD Official category located in the channel menu:

After that, it's time to jump in and connect with Taking Control: The ADHD Community! We would love for you to say hello and introduce yourself. You can post an introduction in #general-chat or in the general chat for your Patreon tier (#deluxe-chat, #supreme-chat, #platinum-chat, and/or #general- chat located under the GPS Members category (GPS members only).
