Week Five Reflection

This week has been very busy. As of writing this, I have less than two weeks until my checkride, and I have been preparing for what feels like nonstop for a while now. Aside from flight training, I got to fly some drones this week. On Monday, I took my FPV drone out for its first flight, and I reached 75mph while it was still in a sort of trainer mode called Horizon. And today I went out flying again, flying my Habu 50mm EDF RC for the second time. Today was the first time I flew it without crashing it. I flew it around for about 5 minutes and did two hand-launch takeoffs because the grass was too tall to take off on. Around the same time, we also took the believer out with us to fly, and needless to say, we learned a lot of valuable information on how to launch the aircraft. We had it set up so that Ryan tossed the aircraft, Anestis was on the controls, I was on the computer, and Erik was the VO. We learned that when launching, you also need to pull the tail down so the airflow is more balanced and won't cause a stall immediately.
