Introduction

Workshop 1: Envisioning Ecosystems is a deep dive into the MIT REAP framework and regional ecosystem assessment. The faculty provide teams with an in-depth introduction to the 3S Model (System-Stakeholder-Strategy), the core concepts of Innovation Capacity (I-Cap) and Entrepreneurship Capacity (E-Cap), and key considerations around stakeholder engagement and funding. Team members have a variety of opportunities to engage with MIT and the Greater Boston Ecosystem through case studies and an Ecosystem Tour.
Goals:
Develop and deepen Teams’ assessment of their regional ecosystems, as begun in Action Phase 0
Build familiarity with and applications of MIT REAP framework and approach
Refine Teams’ stakeholder makeup and Team members’ roles
