UKRAINE HIRING 101 JOB SITES LinkedIn, GitHub and StackOverflow all have plenty of Ukrainian developers. You can always start there, especially if you already use these for recruiting. The problem is every other recruiter is also using them and it is hard to stand out, unless you are Google or Facebook. Although I’m biased, I do think local resources can be much more effective. gives you a fantastic reach: with 250,000 unique monthly visitors you can tell everyone about your company, event, or a job opportunity. is the fastest way to source qualified candidates: it only lists people who want to receive job opportunities and have a completed profile that includes salary expectations, years of experience and the level of English. Nearly a fifth of the candidates are explicitly looking to work remotely and/ or relocate to Europe and to the US. Also worth mentioning are and , two largest job sites in Ukraine. They are not focused on IT specifically, so I would consider them after you already have a small team in Ukraine and you need to expand. They are best though if you’re hiring non-technical staff, such as an office manager. RECRUITERS Next option in terms of costs is to find a local recruiter or an agency. An agency in Ukraine typically charges around 12-15% of yearly salary (gross), while a freelance recruiter can cost you anywhere $1,000 to $4,000. An agency or a recruiter usually has a network, knows the salary levels and can give some guidance on legal and taxation issues. This can be especially 4 helpful if you are planning to hire a bigger team and/or set up an office. In my opinion, Djinni provides 80% of the value for the 20% of the cost, but if you need a more hands-on approach and/or someone on the ground running, recruiter can be a better way
