FAQs

1. Who is this for?

This platform is for development practitioners — whether you work in program design, M&E, curriculum, or policy — and want to go beyond gender sensitivity towards real gender transformation.

2. Is everything free to use?

Mostly yes. The repository is open access, though some tools we link to may have restrictions from their original creators. We always credit and clarify access.

3. Can I contribute a resource?

Absolutely. We welcome community submissions. Each contribution is reviewed before it goes live.

4. Why not just use Google?

We carefully curate for quality and usefulness. These aren’t just resources — they’re selected for real-world impact and relevance.

5. Can I use these tools in workshops or trainings?

Yes! Many of the tools are designed for facilitation, discussion, and learning settings.

6. Is this a course?

No. It’s a resource library — not a training program. But it can support your trainings or program design work.

7. Does this only look at male/female gender roles?

No. We aim to include inclusive, non-binary, and intersectional tools — and flag others clearly when needed.

8. Is it focused on the Global South?

Yes. While globally usable, we prioritise tools grounded in field realities, especially from the Global South.

9. Will new resources be added?

Yes. Our team curates the first phase. Later, we’ll invite community-led updates and expert walkthroughs.

10. What does "gender-transformative" mean?

It means tackling the root causes of inequality — not just recognizing them, but designing for lasting change.
