The Sentry app will allow you to control the type of notifications you receive from your Sentry device. You can also completely disable all notifications.
By default, all notifications are disabled. To enable them, do the following:
In your Sentry app, go to the Settings tab and select Notifications.
In the Notifications window, enable the type of notification(s) you wish to receive. There are 3 types: App, SMS, and Email.
App notifications will send a push notification through your phone/tablet.
SMS notifications will send a text alert to a phone number of your choice.
Email notifications will send an email to the email address that is associated with your account.
When you enable the SMS notifications, you will be prompted to enter a phone number. Enter the number that you wish to have the notifications sent to.
Once you enter your number, hit “Send code”. This will send a text message with a code to your phone. Enter the code in the “Verification code” field and press “Verify Code”.
If you did not receive your code, please verify your phone number and press “Resend” to have a new code sent to your phone.
A success screen will pop up notifying you that your phone number is now verified. You can now close out the window.
Your Sentry devices are now set up for notifications.
