The incidents page will list all Active and Resolved Incidents with the date and time that they occurred or were resolved at.
Active Incidents are incidents that are currently happening. In order for an incident to trigger, the Sentry must detect smoke or noise past a certain threshold for a prolonged period of time.
Resolved Incidents are incidents that were triggered in the past and Sentry has determined that are no longer occurring.
You can filter the incidents to Noise or Smoking Only.
You can also filter by property. Press on the drop-down bar towards the top of the screen and select which property or properties you wish to view. Viewing “All” properties is selected by default.
Incident Details
If you wish to see the incident “Activity Log” click on an incident that occurred. This will open up the Incident Details page.
The Incident Details page will provide you with the Start time and Duration of the incident. A chart will also be displayed to show a visual representation of the incident.
Underneath the chart you will find the “Activity Log”. This will show you when the incident first happened, when a notification was sent out, and when the incident was resolved.
On this page you will have 3 options: “Share Feedback”, “Message Guest”, or “Save report”. All messages can be edited to fit your specific needs.
If you know what caused this incident, “Share Feedback” will provide us with context that we can use to improve our airID algorithm.
“Message Guest” will allow you to send a pre-written message to the guest at your hotel or short term rental property. Messages come in 3 types: Soft Caution, Warm Warning, and Stern Warning.
Soft Caution warnings will gently remind guests that smoking is prohibited and will not be tolerated.
Warm Warnings will notify guests that a moderate amount of smoke has been detected and the area should be ventilated. This will also warn that smoking is absolutely not tolerated.
Stern Warnings are the last warnings that you should give your guest. At this point, recreational smoke is still being detected and the guest will be charged for violating the no-smoking rules of the property.
“Save report” will allow you to email or text a copy of the report to yourself or any relevant party. You can find the “Save report” button at the top right of the page.
